When Audrey breaks up with her wanna be rock star boyfriend, little does she realise that later on that night, at a performance in front of an A&R gut, he hits the big time with a song about her. Not about how nice she is, or what an awesome girlfriend she was, no, he sings about their break up and how she broke his heart. The song rockets to number one in the charts and soon Audrey's life is turned upside down. Her outfits are scrutinised and copied, her love life hits the headlines, but4.5 stars really & one of the funniest books i've read (if not ever, definitely in quite a while) Full review:Such an awesome story!I think Ive underlined half of the book and 99% of those quotes are laugh-inducing.The are some notes I made while reading it:If I go to sleep tonight and then wake up in another story, I want it to be Audreys. If I have a bad day and I need a story to make me smile again, I would read Audreys. If I want my parents to be the best parents ever (even though they are
"I'm a nice girl! I'm not a slut!" cons of this book: pretty much everythingpros of this book: alternative/indie music referencesI really wish I could say I loved this book- considering the fact that I was so, so excited to read it. A while ago I read on some site that this was "the closest thing you can get to Anna and the French Kiss". *cough* bullshit *cough*. It's definitely not even close. Audrey Wait!, tells a story of a normal high school girl who turns into a celebrity overnight. Her ex

A girl finally brings herself to break up with her agreeable(ish) but self-centered slacker boyfriend, and he chooses that moment to finally pay attention to her. Unfortunately, the attention is paid in the form of an angst-ridden song that ends up becoming his band's big break. Naturally this turns Audrey a celebrity and she finds herself practically held hostage by her new insta-fame. I wonder if anyone can read this book now and not think (if even for a moment) of the once-unavoidable "Hey
I. Am. Speechless. This is such an amazing, fantastic, spectacular book filled with wit on nearly every page! While not the most diverse book, it's unique and quirky, and I recommend it to any teenage girl (or guy, who knows?) because it will make you laugh so hard. Five stars! :D
Audrey,Wait! was a totally cute book. I loved reading about how a entire persons life can change with the course of one song.If you want a cute read, this is def. worth your time!
I AM SO GLAD I GOT TO READ THIS BOOK!Audrey, Wait! is fucking awesome. I hope we can aptly conclude how much thought Im putting behind that statement, given this is the first time Ive outright cursed on this blog. (Which is surprising, actually, as Im such a potty mouth.)When I started this book, I was expecting great things because of all the glowing reviews itd received. I went out of my way to buy it, too, which isnt something I do often. Some people have been saying this book is fantastic
