The Strip (The Big Bad Wolf #2)
Until he catches wind of Claire.
Claire St. James, Charlie among friends, is an amazing young woman with an incredibly special gift. Cole recognizes this at once and swears on the spot to claim Charlie as his mate.
Of course, he isn't the only one with such plans. Charlie is too precious to let go without a fight, and one of the most powerful alphas in the world has already staked a claim, whether Charlie-or Cole-like it or not.
Claire has always had to fight to keep herself safe. She lost her parents when she was young, but they had told her that she was special and she had to keep herself safe. She found that she seemed to attract would-be rapists and so she began taking self defense courses. Her current instructor was good, but he seemed to like getting the best of her and hurting her in the process. She put up with it because she knew she needed to learn from the best. Charlie, as her friends called her due to her
Second book, and its okay. Must admit that the way the characters are intertwined its pretty good. off to read book three.

I will start at the beginning as always... this book was the story of Malcolm Cole. Malcolm was the 'bad guy' in the previous book 'The Heat' although he was redeemed in the end. Cole is a tortured soul! He is that guy that always tries to do the right thing and when he does, it always seemes to blow up in his face. Other people see what Cole allows them to see and what he wants them to believe, that he is a bad man. That he cares for no-one, loves nobody and therefor has nothing to lose. Which
This book was horrible. Firstly, I am blaming Amazon since the discription of this book on my kindle didn't say anything to lead me to understand that this was a "romance" novel. However, the rest of the blame for this rotting piece of sexual horror rests solely with the author. I hate romance novels. I admit it. I don't choose to read them because they generally make me angry. However, I got suckered into this one unwittingly and once I start a book I have a thing about finishing them (not that
Two years has passed and the cursed Malcolm Cole's been exonerated of his accused crimes and has finally found the woman he wants to make his mate, Charlie St.James. Charlie is not only a born werewolf but is also a Dormant. Malcolm thinks she's his best kept secret but soon finds out there's an evil Alpha out there and he's after Charlie as well. He's one of the strongest Alpha's around and he's staked his claim on Charlie whether she likes it or not!My thoughts:MINOR SPOILERS SO BE WARNED!!
This book sees the infamous Malcolm Cole chasing the dormant Claire St. James. He is an author that was, until recently, blamed for a series of violent and cruel murders. He is still an extremely powerful and intimidating alpha male. Claire is a drummer that finds it hard to trust people. She has only had one sexual partner, a friend with benefits and between them they like to play rough. Unfortunately people arent always what they seem and she learns that two people that she has known for a

Im not sure if this is the 3rd or 4th time that Ive read through this series. I seem to get wrapped up in it every time I do, so it doesnt really matter. Part of the reason why I like The Strip is because of Malcolm Cole. It seems almost wrong to like him as a character since he was the bad guy in The Heat, but thats part of what makes it so good. I love it when an author can turn your attitude toward a character around totally. Turns out Heather is a pro at it. ;)Talk about damaged characters.Claire has always had to fight to keep herself safe.
