Daylighters (The Morganville Vampires #15)
Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated—vampires from humans—they realize that the changes definitely aren’t for the better.
It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they’ve never had: hope of a vampire-free future. And while it sounds like salvation—even for the vampires themselves—the truth is far more sinister and deadly.
Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end…
The End. Yes, after 7 years and 15 books Morganville has finally reached it;s conclusion. It has been an enjoyable run with these very eclectic characters. I will will miss them. I will miss Myrinirn with his outrageous outfits, his cute pet Bob and his bunny slippers, most of all. It ends in a satisfying bang that couldn't have been more satisfying. Good bye old friends.
I cannot believe it has come to an end. I've been reading the Morganville series for years, it was comforting to think that every year I would come back to read about Claire's crazy adventures, Myrnin's insane driving skills, Michael's dreamyness, Eve's gothic soul, and Shane's oftentimes moronic state of mind. Morganville is a dear old friend, and I am sad to have to say goodbye. I am just glad the series ended on a good note, that it gave us closure, and that it's last book was a marvelous

Let's just say, it's a good thing this is the last book. The series was SO close to crashing and burning completely. I really enjoyed #14 but Daylighters didn't entertain me at all. That said, this is definitely my favourite series, and I'm impressed that they kept me reading for an entire 15 books! I often don't make it past book 1 of a series.I will miss these characters so much but I do think it all tied up well.
Before I get into this review, I want to exclaim how amazing this series is. Despite what Im going to say, I would totally re-read the entire series. I have been reading this series since 2007. Way before I was even a blogger. An employee recommended it to me and ever since then, I have been hooked. Every new book I had to get immediately. Not to mention that I know Morganville like the back of my hand. So to see this book end is pretty sad for me. I dont want to end. Here we goEnding: Im going
This took a bit for me to get into. Probably because I didn't like where it was headed. A whole new arc twist and it was the last book. Shockingly, it was wrapped up quickly, compared to previous issues. Honestly the threat ended up being almost a joke. There are a few shocking moments. I love how Myrnin is less alone it seems. Shane was quite mature compared to past books. I think what Hannah does, especially in the beginning shocks me the most. I want to read a follow-up sotry. A -1 year later
I'm happy with how things ended and where the characters ended up. I know how hard it is to finish a series and I think Rachel did a good job.

This was a good ending to the series; however, this series could've been shorter. And I think some of the conflicts were a bit drawn out. Also, I honestly think this series should've ended with the draugr conflict but that's just what I think since that was probably the most crazy part of the series. Still don't really care for Shane and Claire together. I love Michael and Eve forever though. And I love how much Claire is a nerd, though she has her dumb moments sigh. The End.
