Deacon (Unfinished Hero #4)
Then he returns to some remote cabins in the Colorado Mountains and finds they have new owners. One of them is Cassidy Swallow, a young woman willing to work hard to live her quiet dream in a house by a river surrounded by aspen and pine.
Suddenly, Deacon finds he’s at war. Cassidy’s pull for him to connect is strong. He fights it, but he loses, always coming back for more. But when he does, he gives her nothing.
From the first time she sees him, Cassidy knows Deacon is dead inside. She knows he’s the kind of man who could destroy a woman. But one night when Deacon’s control slips, Cassidy takes a chance.
He might break her. He also might be her dream come true.
"It's a beautiful war, baby." He dipped so close, the tips of our noses brushed but his eyes never left mine. "And I...just won." One night their dynamics changes and the couple is left with the question of where do they go from here? After last night, we changed, he responded immediately. And that change can go two
4.5 KA has once again delivered a kickass story. I adored Deacon and Cassie. This story focuses on their relationship, unlike most KA books, there are no bad guys waiting in the wings - just two people and a beautiful love story. I loved it. Heart and soul, gut and balls, I love you. Theres no one Id rather hold. Not until Im eighty. Not until the day I die.....Do you love me too, my Cassie?...Heart and soul, belly and womb, I love you too, Deacon. And, this book is steamy. Seriously KA out

Everythin else I've read lately is shit compared to a KA book and I can't wait till November (Colorado)...it's too long!! So dearest Kristen, show some pity on a poor soul and release this book soon...like yesterday. Ok, I'll shut up now.
Deacon is a man that has shut himself off from the world. He doesn't feel and he doesn't care. Cassidy loves life and wants to embrace it fully...and that includes Deacon whether he likes it or not. Cassidy's dream has always been to buy some cabins in Colorado. She finally gets to do that and it's definitely a work in progress but she gives it her all and eventually things start shaping up. I liked Cassidy better in the beginning when she was more independent. It seemed when her and Deacon got

He did not feel. He did not smile. He did not laugh. Hands down my favourite Kristen Ashley book I read so far. I really feel like she stepped up her games with this one. Of course there were a few hit and miss things in the last three books, mainly pacing and story flow. But with Deacon I believe she hit the
