The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire. Ferdinand FochRating: MA: mature audience, mature themes, over the top graphic descriptions of sexual encounters. This closes out the series. It's not that I didn't love it, cause I did. But...ok, here's the deal. He dumps her harshly and then ten years later he returns expecting to romance her back into his bed. What he didn't bank on was how much her heart was broken. He knew he hurt her. "I did mean to hurt you. And I'd say I did a damn good job of it." Yep, he would have needed an ambulance after making a comment like that. 🚑 She rebuilt herself on the ashes he left. She was stronger, but he does

Not her best, but okay.

I think I liked this book more than the others. That being said, I wasn't bowled over by it. I find Mia to be the most compelling in the series so I was expecting more. However, reading it was like reading the other books. It was a pleasant read but nothing really wowed me. One of the things I was looking forward to in Mia's story was her and Sam's past. The reasoning as to why he left was there but I just didn't feel anything. It felt like reading a well crafted book but I wasn't emotionally

From the massive amount of books Ive read by Nora Roberts,Ive learned something. If you loved the first book, never expect the sequel or the others in the series to be as good as the first one.Its a lesson I learned throughout my experience of Roberts works.I went through the same thing in Face the Fire.I loved the first book,Dance Upon the Air and I enjoyed the second one,Heaven and Earth so initially I had a little hope for Face the Fire. But of course,it turned out to be a disappointment.Even

2015 Reading Challenge: a trilogy. Sam and Mia, man. I'm rounding up from 3.5 stars for them alone. I wasn't as disappointed as I had feared I would be, which is largely due to the both of them. Yes, Sam was kind of an ass at the beginning and had arguably been an ass for the past ten years, but I really loved the energy between them regardless. I loved finding out about him; (view spoiler)[the surprise that Sam was a witch himself was a pleasant one and I enjoyed how connected he was to it all.
